I think,its being protective of what U gat,but d ignorants call it being possesive.When U luv somebody,U've already puten Ur hrt into it.So U hv to protect Ur luv,bcs U dnt knw whats d next man/woman's intentions,if only Ur intentions r good.So,its not a childish act.

most times u just cant control it, most especially when it's got 2 do wif sum1 u love. there's no emotion that can not be adjusted and u knw jealousy is one of them. u can actually control it 2 sum xtent but then it takes a matured mind to achieve that.
