We Nigerian takes most national issue for granted and just let go vastly bcus nobody cares about the situation and affair of Nigeria .Very regretful to say that ,even the soil of the land is not happy with the inhabitants ,I'm sure few people will agree with me on this point, take for instance some countries where you will see citizen volunteer without government support to clean the streets ,even employee of companies volunteer to sacrifice few hours cleaning not only their environs but surroundings .Nigerian can't sacrifice nothing without benefit for Nigeria ,everyone aim is to eat the free fruits of te land without the objective of giving back in returns to the land.Until the day our unborn generation change this selfish interest against Nigeria before we as a nation as a people can know peace, until that day Nigerian we not live in Nigeria in happiness. The love of Nigeria is the first priority ,if ever Nigeria will be great nation. In most countries I hv lived or visited around the globe,I saw elderly men and women doing volunteer job, grandpa and grandma picking cigarettes ,cans, plastic and littering even without mobilized,hv seen school pupil walking down the street alone and yet picked cigarettes butt in the street to dump in liter bin ,I mean without any mandatory order rather doing it for the love of the country. When shall we as people change our attitude towards a country that has giving so much to us,we can just show a little love for Nigeria ,despite the government lack of interest in the country management, but if we the citizen change our course and approach to Nigeria ,then the politician will have no choice to redress .
sorry i dont agree with you on all what you listed here,,, not at all,,,, i understand you are right people do volunteer work in those countries you meant,, but to who much is given much is expected,,, those people, you re refering most of them dont die while staying on the queue for their pension,, those not on pension, but on govt benefit, dont await the benefit for years before they could get it,, their kids enjoy the best facilities , in there schools,, their workers are not owed piled up salaries,,,,, let me give you this as an example, the one which i can actually talk of,,, (no pride meant at all) was on my way out with a white friend someday, saw a beggar gave him some peanuts that i can afford,,, the friend with me was fighting me,,, and telling me, i did the wrong thing giving alm, i asked why, he told me basically that NO ONE SHOULD GO HUNGRY TO BED AND SHOULD SLEEP OUTSIDE for a night  in that country;;; ONLY IF THE PERSON DOESNT GO TO THE NECESSARY BODY OR AUTHOURITY THAT SHOULD PROVIDE FOR HIM;; OR THE PERSON WEN,T COLLECTED HIS DUES AND EXHAUSTED  IT ON THE SAME DAY FOR DRUG AND ALCOHOL;;;; so tell me why wont such citizens look for areas to contribute to the devp of the country,,,, do you want hungry nigerians to go into abuja stadium to mow the grass?Huh??,,, while the house reps are busy rejecting bills that could help nigerian unemployed graduates,,,, dont let us compare the western places we have been to, with our motherland,,, thats all

Obviously majority of Nigerian are disgruntled as none would accept or appraise the government for its lack of accountability, but my point is straight,We as people of a nation need show love to our motherland, irrespective of the government inabilities,I'm sure some of the reasons Nigeria lacking behind is mainly the lack of love for our nation,a home divided among itself, how could such unorganized puzzle make meaningful without discipline and commitment, absolutely it's impossible. We all have to accept our failure in general ,we all Nigerian should share the blame in all sphere for our grievances cowardly expressed to our authority ,the time has past when millitary government abuses the right of expression, yet the fear of expression still lives in us even decade after our suppression .I see nothing wrong in showing by practices ,thinking and culture contributing to volunteering effort by every Nigerian in the face of government mismanagement. We all can change the way of our self condemnation of the nation ,at least by been positive and doing positive activities ,embracing one another regardless of ethnicity ,I'm sure these are great barriers to our national progress,if we as people of one nation can see each other as same tribe ,same ethnic and stop racism among ourselves ,I really can't see nothing else wrong with Nigeria from my perspective beside racism ethnic division .Im sure the road is long for us but our dream and dream of our fathers should not be in vain.

Our country leaders only finds means of getting the money into their useless pockets shamelessly.
The money for maintaining the stadium is too little and will not justify when they said the used trillions for maintenance.
So they want it to get spoiled or damaged so that it will yield enough for them to bring home.

Can anything good come from Nigeria? Certainly not, not these group of corrupt politicians are in power. The more dilapidated the stadium becomes, the more money will be budgeted for its repair and the more kick back....that is the game, and that is Nija.
