Wow! A great library is burnt.  A great library, indeed.  A man of good example, who refused several honours from the Nigerian government on account of the corruption in the country.  Rest in Lord.  God will surely reward you.  May your loved ones be consoled.  You were and still a role model.

The death of Chinua Achebe is a great loss to Nigeria and Africa. Though not in the good book of Nigeria politicians, Chinua Achebe was one of the most celebrated and decorated Africa novelists. He was well known for his novel, Things Fall Apart. He rejected President Jonathan's national award and honour bestowed upon him saying, 'Its not yet time for celebration'. Chinua Achebe's work and achievements will be remembered for many generation.
