The premiere was attended by members of the public, and several Nollywood stars, including Patience Ozokwo, Chidiebere Aneke, Chidimma Aneke, and Rita Nzelu.

The appearance of Patience Ozokwo at the premiere, caused quite a stir, and she was mobbed by fans who had turned out for the premiere. The movie is scheduled to be premiered in Nigeria later this year.

 “I arrived just in time to see Mama G grace the red carpet. As soon as her limousine was spotted the fans became excited. This excitement became even more frenzied as she approached the red carpet. I had to hold on to the person next to me so as not to fall, as enthusiastic fans reached in vain to touch their idol, if only momentarily.

The cinema hall was full to the point that some people stood and others didn’t even get in, although there was no resentment in the air as people were simply happy just to be able to be in the presence of the formidable Mama G who radiated in a pale blue gown and matching cropped cardigan. The audience enjoyed the movie and chuckles as they were being entertained were heard throughout.”

Onochie was directed by Ifeanyi Ogbonna, and it stars Patience Ozokwo, African China, the Aneke twins, Ikenga Ikechukwu, and Ebele Okaro. The trailer and synopsis of the movie can be seen at – ‘Onochie’ Premieres in London June 7.
