At 26 I got my PHD and life was so beautiful. You wake up knowing that the rest of the day was going to be perfect.
One Monday morning I was preparing for work, I suddenly felt faint and weak and there was this loud noise pounding on my head. It’s
been over a year I went for check up so I called Stephen our family doctor who after series of test gave me the news that changed my
life. “Bernard, you have a large tumor in your brain…its quite major but there are professionals who can take care of it.
I couldn’t believe it, I only heard such stories in soap-opera’s and now it was a reality. After 2 weeks, we had a meeting with a
specialist and it was concluded that I was going to have a brain surgery in India. A week later I flew to India for the surgery. There was
this guy in the ward close to mine, he was quite popular and wanted to do a brain transplant. According to him, he has a genetically
modified brain that will enable him win an award as the “wisest man ever’’. The funny thing was that his surgery was the same time as
mine.

After the surgery, I woke up feeling very strong and my reasoning was beyond normal. Later in the evening I heard some nurse
murmuring something about a misplaced brain. The popular guy had died because the brain meant for him was mistakenly used for
someone else
