1. On birthday
Birthdays come once a year, so don’t break up with your partner on his birthday. Even if you want to end a relationship on his special day, don’t do it! Sure, you shouldn’t lie to him and act as if everything is great between both of you. If you want, don’t go to his party. His birthday is the time when he should be fully happy.
2. When one of his family members died
If one of his close friends or family members just died, you should wait until he’s finished grieving. If you end the relationship right after such a sad event happens, it will make his pain even worse. During a difficult time, he will need you to lean on. So don’t kick your partner when he’s down.
3. When drunk
If you end the relationship after you and your boyfriend have been drinking, you might regret it later. Even if you don’t, your boyfriend might not take things seriously. Alcohol makes you speak your mind, but it should never be used to initiate a breakup. Break up with him when the two of you are sober.
4. When you are angry with him
When a fight starts up, you can say things that you don’t really mean. If he did something wrong, it’s perfectly okay to break up with your boyfriend. However, if you have a strong relationship, let your partner state his case first. Wait until you calm down and decide whether or not to end your relationship.
5. Before a big event
This is another worst time to break up with a man. If your boyfriend is getting ready for a big meeting or his championship soccer game, wait until it’s finished to end your relationship. Let him focus on his big event before you break up with him.
6. During the holiday season
It’s not easy to survive a breakup during the holidays. It’s a time when everyone craves affection from others. Your family will ask you about your boyfriend and will definitely want to meet him. One of the worst times to break up with a man is Valentine’s Day. Nobody wants to be alone on the day that is meant for love.
7. Anytime
If you are worried about ending a relationship, you are going to make excuses to put this difficult task off. However, if your relationship is not working, you’ve got to end it. It’s unfair to keep dating him for weeks, months or even years and act as if everything is okay when it is not. He deserves to know the truth, doesn’t he?
