Let all of dem come and establish in the country, at least it will create jobs for Nigerians.  Assuming they come in the Expatriates they will employ the shop floor here.

Please check your facts first before you come here to say what is not real.Nissan can never be the first vehicle to be manufactured in Nigeria, because Innoson Motors is already manufacturing made in Nigeria vehicles at Nnewi in Anambra State.

Always approach everything with open mind…….

You should be the one to check the facts regarding auto industry in Nigeria.
You should also have clicked on two sources provided and more importantly reading everything.

The headline says; Nissan is set to become the first major car-maker to open a factory in Nigeria following a legislation change.......
Meaning after a recent legislation....

This has nothing to do or against Innoson Motors. It will not take anything away from Innoson Motors
as I am all for it given the fact jobs will be created by all involved.

We've never had and we still don't have a manufacturing auto plant in Nigeria but assembly plants including Innoson Motors and Nissan.
The point I am making is; there is difference between assembling and manufacturing.
Auto assembly plants dates back to 1960s

In the early 70s we had Volkswagen (Lagos) and Peugeot (Kaduna) assembly plants but eventually shut down I believed both are operating again.

Some Peugeot vehicles assembled in Nigeria at that time were not great as doors were falling off while in motion whereas Volkswagen cars were great.

Should we not get our roads in order first?

That is why they choose SUV, because we lack roads!

Certainly, there is a difference between a Car Assembly Plant and a Car Manufacturing Plant. But the problem here is that you seem not to know the difference.Volkswagen (Lagos) and Peugeot (Kaduna) and ANAMCO (Enugu) are all Car Assembly Plants, all their inputs are imported from abroad, they just do the coupling there.Innoson Motors is not a Car Assembly Plant,it is a Car Manufacturing Plants because more than 80% of the input are sourced and manufactured at the plant. It is only the Engines and the Chasis that are made abroad. And I want to inform you that most Car Manufacturers do not make the Engines and Chasis of the Vehicle they manufacture.I still insist you check your facts well before you come here to say what is not real.I believe you are finding it difficult to believe that Vehicles could be manufactured in Nigeria by black men, that is why you have chosen to call Innoson Motors a Car Assembly Plant when in reality it is a Car Manufacturing Plant, you will rather believe that the Nissan Plant which is yet to materialize is a manufacturing plant, because you think it is only foreigners that can do it.I challenge you to take your time to check the facts, then you will see that Innoson Motors is a Car Manufacturing Plant and not a Car Assembly Plant.

You are driven by sentiments and now stepping out of bounds. You need to get rid of that “I Before Others” mentality.

How dare you said; I am finding it difficult to believe that black men cannot manufacture cars or anything of that nature which I found offensive. It is silly to even suggest such a thing. I strongly believe we have the human and natural resources to accomplish almost everything in this world with little outside help. I am pro-black and proud.

The story was posted verbatim with source provided by me. The article was not my idea and was not in any way belittled or took anything away from Innoson Motors. I thought the new Nissan plant will create jobs which was my primary concern.

Initially I ignored your statement saying “check your facts well before you come here to say what is not real” …..I mean this is very rude you could have been polite. Having different opinions should not warrant insults.

It seems you are looking for confrontations due to the fact that you may be harbouring something. Let me tell you are picking on a wrong guy as I won’t be an easy target because I don’t give a shiit. I enjoy good debates but do not tolerate insults.

Look I am entitled to my own opinion and nothing will change that and at the same time you are entitled to yours even if they are not facts…

Yeh...! in reversed order.

Reality is hard to accept sometimes because of self-inflicted deceit. You are fit in this category....

It is not in my character to insult people. As far as I am concerned I have not used any offensive word or words on you,I have not insulted you by any means. But you have used offensive words and insulting phrase like, you dont give a shiit, you may be habouring something(the spellings are yours). But then I am not moved by insults,I do not know you from Adam,so how can I be habouring something against you??.You see, there is what we call Fallacy ad Hominem, that is when someones leaves the subject of an argument and start attacking the person involved in the argument. It is only when a person is bereft of ideas and have nothing more to offer that such a person resort to fallacy ad hominem. The argument here is that you said Innoson Motors is an Automobile Assembly Plant and I said,no,it is an Automobile Manufacturing Plant, your own statement may be your opinion(and I tell you, opinions are subjective, while facts are objective),but my statement is a statement of fact and that is why I told you to verify your facts. Now instead of taking some time to verify your facts, you have resorted to attacking my person.I told you to “check your facts well before you come here to say what is not real“,how is that a rude statement???,how is that an insult???.I can see you are trying to redefine rudeness and insults.Forget all these other things you are bringing up,just give me a valid argument and convince me that Innoson Motors is not an Automobile Manufacturing Plant. That is the argument and I told you that Innoson Motors manufactures more than 80% of the Auto components,it is only the Engine and Chasis that is sourced abroad and I went ahead to inform you, because perhaps you are not aware, that most Automobile Manufacturing Firms do not build their own Engines and Chasis,so if Innoson Motors can manufacture more than 80% of the Auto components, they are by every standard of measurement an Automobile Manufacturing Firm. You can either face the argument and present me with facts,or if you want to continue with your diversion then I will let go because I only involve myself in healthy argument,we can always learn from each other without insulting them.
