I hope you all know that, Intercontinental hotel and resort, Nigeria's first 5 star hotel and the tallest in Africa was launched recently, precisely on Sunday september 29th 2013, you might wonder what's so special about this hotel...well wait and read what i found out..
CLICK HERE TO SEE MORE PICTURES OF THE STAR HOTEL This architectural masterpiece boasts of 358 rooms, 37 suites including a presidential suite, seven meeting rooms, seven restaurants and bars and a 1,000-seater ballroom.it's construction allegedly gulped over N30b. Owned by Ramesh Valechha-led Milan Group, it was designed by a Nigerian architect, Bayo Odunlami.
I am sure the vast majority of Nigerian families who live on less than $10 a day are not interested.
We are so wanting to keep up with the rest of the world our priorities are messed up.
Lets see how many British or American or Norwegian or French or Saudi Arabians or Maltese or Ghanaians or North Africans, or South or North Koreans etc will be rushing to book their next summer holidays in "the tallest hotel in Africa!"
Your guess is as good as mine.

It's good we have things like this in Nigeria to boost business, but our priorities are really misplaced...seriously. Why can't the government build a standard apartment complex for those that cannot afford housing? If they can build something like this, then what else are they waiting for?
