Watch the kind of water you use to prepare your food. Make sure its clean and if you are not sure of the source boil it before using it. Ndi be anyi mmamma nu o. Ogbu ka o ra m n'onu. Ka emesia nu. Ka emesia nu. thank you blueixora......fellow nigerians, no need to fight and blame each others tribes etc.....cholera is caused by inadequate sanitation and contamination in the water system.....it could be the lady died from exposure to such......abach itself can't kill someone, but the way it was prepared could cause cholera......since the husband was not infected, could be the wife has lower immunity or the husband has a very high tolerance for the bacteria that caused the cholera......relax people whoever prepared the abacha was not clean, in a clean environment or the water used was contaminated etc

When people from other tribe start selling abacha just for the fact that the population of igbos and even Nigeria as a whole likes the natural and spicy test, they forgot that there is a way of preparing it,from ibanye abacha na mmiri, hapuya ofo chi, then sachaa ya about five times before preparing it.Does the sellers of Abacha a.k.a African salad under go all this proccess, this is what people should be looking into and not terming Abacha a killer food. That she ate abacha doesn't mean she contracted cholera from it. She might have contacted it thru the abacha, water or any contaminated food she has eatin since 5 days. You can get cholera but that doesn't mean one gets it from the last food been eaten, it could be from the food ate the previous day. ReplyBesides considering the number of times she was passed out stool, it can get complicated since the stools re watery. She lost so much water n possibly electrolyte imbalance. IV is best to recover those fluid lost or they should ve make sure she drinks alot of fluid...who knows if she didnt die due to dehydration ![]() okies na since you need my website here is it www.shydaimma.....Dat's oll wait!!!!!! dat's oll
