This issue is very serious. But I can assure you that it is not grave. Just get talking with him/her and when he/she is in the lighter mood, mute the matter indirectly. He/she will think you are not seruious at first, in time, the truth will become clear.

When the chips are down, the spouse may react irrationally. When this happens, don't lose your cool, be justified that you have done right. By and large, everybody will understand and adjustments will have to be made.

Telling it on time as it must be told will actually hurt no one. Rather, relegating telling to a future date may sooner do more harm than good. Tell it now and be free; and live real.
