what do you think about homosegxwalism

well a little intro abt my self am a student in one of the leading universities in nigeria studying political science. well i ve beening wondering the origin of homosegxwal and also i ve meet some guys who belong to that world, my investigation made my believed that this act is caused either by birth or my initiating please my honourable reader how can we tackle th barbaric act. i will be glad to read 4rm you......

first of all i would like to say there is nothn "babaric" about the act the only thing babaric is people that cannot seem to just accept that not everyone is like them. i have very close friends that happen to be gay and they are the nicest people i know, unlike the holier than thou "straight people".i am a catholic and it is agaist my religion and i want to make it clear that i am not supporting the act but simply accepting their way of life the same way they accept mine, in other words we have agreed to disagree. i am also a political science major like you nobal and i would have expected that you would understand issues like this better.

homosegxwalism is just a very bad culture, and as much as i can imagine is the brain child of fantasies......i personally find it very disgusting and in my honest opinions should be banned!....and Homos should be sent to rehabs to get cleaned (psychologically)

hhhmmmmm.....being gay is up to individual's liking...of course i am against that act as i find it disgusting...i mean fornicating is still natural sex but imagine doing something unnatural....besides the point i have no problems with gay people....as a matter of fact i do have a couple of gay friends....but i find it difficult to be friends with lesbians though....coz they tend to like u when u treat them like sisters....in other words,when i show them love and concern,they misinterprete that act for love which i find ridiculous....but i am sure that 99% of people prefer to watch lesbian more than gays...for example,look at the porn industry....lesbos act sells more than gay porn...i mean come on its nicer to watch girl and girl rather than 2 men doig it by the back which look kinda torturing.....yikes....

i personally agree with Dguy. i think its quite unnatural. Scientists have gone through extensive research in hopes of establising the GAY GENE which would explain that people born with this particular genetic make up are simply born this way. They were not successful. i have a Christian point of view towards homosegxwals i in know hate them but i dont condone or permit what they are doing. i understand the Bible never explicitly mentions the words Gay or Homosegxwal but but it does imply that it is wrong. My other issue with homosegxwality is their desperate need to broadcast their lifestyle to the whole world. They are constantly fighting for "gay rights" but their rights appear to be exceeding the rights of others. What about ethnic minorities rights. My college is in Westminster in central London and i can remember them closing of particular street, preventing business' from running and stopping me from getting into college all because they wanted to march down a street IN A THONG and declare the fact that they are gay!!! If i ran through the street in a thong shouting "i'm straight, im straight" I WOULD BE ARRESTED for PUBLIC INDECENCY. Another example of this is those firefighters who were demoted in their job as they refused to work at a gay campaign because men in uniform, especially firefighters, are established sex fantasies of Homosegxwal men. Why should they have been there? No one called for a firefighter they were simply called just in case of a fire!!! ordinary people cant just call firefighters to our home IN CASE we have a phyuking fire, so why should they be allowed to?!!! Its one thing to be gay its another to use that status to gain rights above the rest of ours. THEY NEED TO SHUT UP, SIT DOWN AND WORK IN SOCIETY LIKE THE REST OF US!!!! Only in London!!

Lets be very careful in responding to a topic as sensitive as this.
some think homosegxwality is natural, ie people are born with it. But as a person schooled in sociological learning theory, i believe that evry action of man in society is learnt. so don't tell me homosegxwals are born with it
Having established that individuals are not born with it, the next question is, the morality of it.
The answer is not straight forward. it is neither a good or bad answer.
Individuals defer as to what they like.
the Chinese for instance eat frog and most Africans dont. Does that make frog eating bad? disgusting? or wrong. No.
The problem we have in sub Sahara Africa and especially Nigeria is our overwhelming love for taboo, superstition and tradition, hence we are still living in the 18th century while the western world are approaching the 22nd century.
Homosegxwality is a matter of preference and while some of us may not like the act in itself, we should not loath someone who finds themselves attracted to individual of the same sex.
This brings us to the question of morality. is homosegxwality a moral issue? yes. but some of us are forgetting that morality is a relative concept. There is no universal concept of morality. In some society, it is not morally wrong whereas it is totally acceptable in some others.
Lets just open our mind and accept homosegxwals for who they are first of all (human beings) then we can throw stones at them because of their perceived sin. But before we do that lets check ourselves and he without a sin in his/her live should throw the first stone. I rest my case

u know wat....i ahve neva actually come across the bible verse that condems homosegxwality. if u can put it up i will be gratefull. but on thing i do know is that the bible says love ur neighbor as ur self...........and that includes homosegxwals.
