
The L.A. Clippers aren't technically for sale yet, but that doesn't mean Hollywood isn't already looking to buy. Variety reports that Oprah Winfrey is currently thinking about adding "basketball team owner" to her impressive resume. In a statement, her spokeswoman said, "Oprah Winfrey is in discussions with David Geffen and Larry Ellison to make a bid for the Los Angeles Clippers should the team become available."
Earlier this week, current Clippers owner Donald Sterling was banned for life from the NBA after he was caught on tape making racist comments. NBA commissioner Adam Silver is trying to force him to sell the team, but Sterling, who has owned the Clippers since 1981, says he's not interested in selling. Silver needs a three-quarters majority vote of league owners to force Sterling out.
