Their place is taken by Egypt, who move up one place to 32nd in the world.
Ghana climbed three places to sit fourth in Africa and 32nd overall.
Ivory Coast remains Africa's top-ranked team despite dropping two places to 20th in the world.
They are followed by Cameroon, who held on to their 29th place overall. Egypt moved up one place, and stay third in Africa.
Nigeria's opponents in the 2010 FIFA World Cup qualifier, are in a distant 50th position overall and 8th in Africa.
Kenya and Mozambique, Nigeria's other group rivals, are not even in the African Top 20
