Perhaps Dr. Mercy is collecting information and experiences to include in an upcoming novel or academic study.  Perhaps she has the freedom and courage to simply follow a life long dream.  Perhaps she is simply expressing the healthy habit of curiosity.  Whatever her motive for driving a taxi albeit she has two PhDs is not essential.  What Nigerians need to begin questioning is how well they have been holding their government and fellow citizens accountable for their actions and lack of action.  Ask questions that will provide answers that improve Nigerian society for all.  Pointless questions such as the one posed above are superficial and a waste of electronic space.

she can drive a cab...no shit...as long as she is enjoying it......nothing concern govertment...after all she also had an opportunity with the united nations....her choice ...thats all.....some comments are purely dumb and a lot of them will be coming from people who cliam they are graduates.....

first of all i wan 2 no if she is ok or does she have family problem 4 a hole doctorate degree hold driving. if their is no job can she not open her own chemstry and what did she wan in life money or suffer. let her call president for a better job she is disgracing all the doctor

I SEE  NO BIG DEAL IN WAT SHE DOES , HERE IN SG, ASIA, U GET TO SEE A LOTTA FEMALE BUS DRIVERS & TAXI  DRIVERS WHO'VE GOT WELL PAYING WHITE COLLAR JOBS BUT STILL INDULGE IN PUBLIC SERVICE FOR REASONS BEST KNOWN TO THEM!!

If Nigerians can develop the confidence of following their dreams like this lady, then we will begin to appreciate the power we have in electing our leaders and ultimately; it will change our view of collecting money and act as hooligans for the dumb we call our leaders. She made a choice and her intentions may be materializing going by the way we are talking about it on naijapals and probably making her popular across the nation and beyond. She is quite smart and calculative. SHE MOVED HER CHEESE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It will be more sensible to have this woman interviewed and know what actually informed her decision. However, it is quite unfortunate that we lay too much emphasis on academic qualification in Naija; perhaps this must have informed the surprises many people are expressing over her action. Women dominate the driving of buses, not only in Russia, as pointed out by Kate, but also in the USA and UK; the two great nations of the whole world. I wish Dr Mercy the very best of luck in her new found profession, if at all she is not up to a mischief.
