Stella Damasus has blasted her fans for insulting her for partaking in Halloween today. Her fans who feel Stella shouldn’t have participated because she is a Christian got the shock of their lives when she came all out to call them ignorant and shameless while trying to explain the true meaning of Halloween. Thankfully the matter didn't get out of hand (at least before I munched the chats), when Daniel Ademinokan came in and added more insults to injury, lol.

Kids don't dress up and beg for candies in Halloween,  that only happens in Good Friday. I think she is confused.

Sir,
Trick or treat is associated with Halloween and yes, kids do dress up in costumes and "beg" for candies. Need I say who is confused? ??

I agree it does not mean worshipping the devil however I hope and pray that Halloween is does NOT become something celebrated in Nigeria. I say this because our beliefs (be it christian or otherwise) ARE very different to that of the western world. Yes, I know the christianity we profess was imported from the western world but we must all admit that the belief systems of our ancestors has effected how we worship God!

Back to celebrating Halloween. This could prove dangerous in Nigeria. We already have a female "pastor" who claims that children who wet the bed are witches and should be killed - celebrating Halloween will give her and the thousand upon thousands of other Nigerians with the same mindset a field day! October 31st (Halloween night) in Nigetia will be a day of murder and mayhem - people in Halloween costume will be branded witches and them and their families burnt alive, babies born on that day will be shunned by their mothers, the feathers, blood and carcasses of hens (and other animals) sacrificed to whatever will be strewn along the streets, certain "churches" will ask their members - sorry congregation - to PAY in cash to ensure Gods "special" protection on Halloween night!

To the vast majority of westerners (who mostly do not have ANY religious convictions) Halloween has nothing to do with evil. WE (Africans) are  different! We have spiritually embedded in us. The word "voodoo" means a different thing to an African and a different thing to a westerner!

However, the Pope did say he would rather Christians celebrated HOLYWEEN. This would mean children dressing up like saints for the day and learning about the lufe of sainrs.

We shoild stick to christmas and easter - for piece if mind.

Why is she promoting Halloween? ..did she celebrate it as a hild?...did her mother paint her face and dressup too?Does she know the significance of Halloween?  Does she take part in any similar African celebration? If she is that concerned about kids then she shouldn't be leading them down a negative road. Pied Piper trying to justify.

She is right..
Nigerians love participating in every argument they are not invited to..
Things are going on in the country no body is speaking out or protesting against bad leaders
But they can criticise people celebrating Halloween...
All they say is Our God will fight for us
Heaven help those who help themselves
