Pope Francis Says "Couples Who Decide Not to Have kids is a Sign of Selfishness"

The leader of the Roman Catholic Church, Pope Francis has opined that fertile couple who chose not to have children are selfish and that low birth rate communities are depressed. In his sermon to a gathering of faithfuls at St Peter's square, he stated

If a generous family of children is viewed as if it were a burden, there is something wrong! As the Encyclical Humanae Vitae of Blessed Pope Paul VI teaches, but having more children cannot be automatically viewed as an irresponsible choice. The choice to not have children is selfish. Life rejuvenates and acquires energy when it multiplies: It is enriched, not impoverished! Children learn to take charge of their family, they mature in the sharing of sacrifices, and they grow in appreciation of its gifts
."

IF COUPLES DECIDE NOT TO HAVE CHILDREN,IT'S THEIR CHOICE I DON'T SEE ANYTHING WRONG WITH THAT,NEITHER DO I SEE IT AS SELFISHNESS..IT'S A MATTER OF CHOICE...IF U CAN'T TAKE CARE OF CHILDREN NO NEED TO HAVE THEM..

i think what the pope is trying to say is both him and all unmarried catholic priests are all selfish as married couples not having kids, i am beginning to see change that sweep Nigeria soon involving the Catholic churches Cool
