Mild drama ensued on Monday, at Osia Junction Roundabout, Ughelli, Delta State, when an epileptic commercial motorcycle operator (okada rider) suddenly started convulsing and slumped in the middle of the road.

Witnesses said the Okada man (names withheld) in his early 50s, noticed an impending epileptic crisis.

So he quickly stopped in the middle of the road, told his passenger to step down from the motorcycle and immediately slumped to the ground, convulsing in spasms.

When We visited the scene at about 9a.m., the victim was still on the ground with passers-by and sympathizers trying to get a glimpse of him.

After he recovered about 10 minutes later, other Okada riders, who later identified him, took him off the road and carried him home.

Chai! Nothing like emergency services in Nigeria! Very very painful! He lay there for minutes without medical attention!
So sad! Horrible! Pathetic!
Nigerian system don tire me! We're sooo backward. Politicians are controlling the whole country brutally. Instead of going forward, we keep moving backwards. I hate hearing that word CHANGE! How can we change with the kind of politics that we run in this country. I pity the youths that are screaming CHANGE!

Very sorry to hear this but with thid kind of business, his health issues will put passengers lives at significant risk. The passenger and d okada man we're both lucky but next time can be brutal as d epilepsy may not give a warning sign in d future. Hope he's on medication for this.

he took the best decision by quickly stopping and alighting.
he did not need medical attention for his seizure.

This okada man is even more safe, than some drivers who behave like sociopaths, they will curse everybody on the road, they are always right, when anything happens, it is the other persons fault.

I know one driver, he can speed on the road, and he expects everybody to do same, any little problem he will complain, when there is no problem he will complain about how other people cannot drive and he is the only one that can drive, all I did was to nodd my head in affirmation and smile.
