The APC candidate for the Kogi state elections slumped and died after receiving news that the election results was inconclusive, may his soul rest in peace!
UPDATE ONE!: There are earlier indications that the ex-governor might have been poisoned as a complained of severe stomach pain and cramp last night before going to bed and subsequently suffered a stroke around 9am this morning before the results were announced, the news was kept under sheets until later this evening. The symptoms leading to his death is consistent with poison but we CANNOT confirm this yet. My sources are outside the AUDU's family house in Kogi and will give an update once it comes through. The ex-governor is survived by numerous wives and children

Constitutionally there should be a by-election just within APC to produce a candidate to replace him - although this is normally after the governor has been sweared in, I do not know in the case where there has not been an official hand over and swearing in, perhaps the election might be canceled, will have to check the constitution for this kind of situation

I guess INEC Will ask APC to present another Candidate to replace Audu before a re run is carried out in the Areas concerned. A tidy case should be the new person should stand in as Deputy Goernotarial Candidate, as the earlier Dpty Candidate is entitled to step in the shoe of his boss. Atanyrate, the APC still stands to triumph because the PDP cannot win virtually all the votes to overrun the huge gap APC has already got. The Igalas should cooperate and see the development as An Act of God.

Thank God for GEJ; he didn't tamper with the election by declaring it inconclusive, cancelled, suspended or whatever, if he had tried that, Buhari would have been with Yar since March 28th.
