Nigeria’s Minister of Interior, Abdulrahman Dambazau, has been caught on tape using an officer of Nigeria’s secret police, the State Security Service, to clean his shoes in public. A video obtained by PREMIUM TIMES showed the minister, dressed in white gown, relaxing on a couch with his legs stretched out. The SSS officer appeared from the sides, with a handkerchief in his right hand and a holstered service pistol protruding from his jacket. He was shown stooping before the minister, using his left hand to lift Mr. Dambazau’s right leg, slightly above the floor to clean his loafers. The minister bent his head to notice him, before looking away to focus on the event unfolding in a distance. The minister was at the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps Academy in an Abuja suburb for an event in December. He was seated between what seemed to be top officers of the NSCDC who merely took short glances at the SSS officer stooping before them. Soon, the right leg shoe was glistering again and he steadily dropped it back to a dusty floor. The minister adjusted himself in his couch and gently raised the left foot, appearing detached, while the SSS officer took it in his palms again and wiped off the dust.

We ALL know that "leadership" in Nigeria is about acting as if we own the whole world and where everyone is at our beck and call. It has nothing to do with leading the country to greatness!

My brother, this shameless behaviour has absolutely nothing to do with hausa people, tribe or ethnic group in particular, it defines a true power monger Nigerian politician with a slavery mentality.

............It's a tradition in Hausa land and they see as a normal way of life. Maybe you don't know Emirs don't spit on the floor, they spit on their guards.

Can anyone defend this shameful action now? When you see the way this present administration is using the security aparatus of the nation to silence and terorise their political opponents, this cannot be a suprise. Which change?

Well , i will not disprove your statement because i have never been there neither have i been in contact with their Emirs,,my point was that it should not be limited to the hausas bc ALL tribes are guilty of this dehumanizing behaviour.
