The naira has unfortunately declined once again at the parallel market due to the persistence of dollar scarcity and now sells at N338 to a dollar.
The local currency had closed at 335, 318, 313.5 and 310 on Thursday, Wednesday, Tuesday and Monday, respectively.
The CBN has left the official exchange rate unchanged at N197 to the dollar on its official interbank window.

Nigeria was once the "Giant of Africa" and compared to China. Now China is stocking up buisnesses around the WHOLE world. In Nigeria on the other hand, our government is still flying around the world looking for financial aid and other handouts from the colonial masters!

i'm not surprise, when you put a daft mallam at the the helm of affair, this is what you get. the one time bouyant economy has been reduced to minus zero in less than a year by the government of the mallam.

The past administrations destroyed our economy not the current. GEJ administration failed to save for raining days, remember crude oil was sold at record high price during his tenure, the excess from the budgeted price that should have been saved was shared and looted. Furthermore the treasury was highly depleted during GEJ administration, it's your reserve that determines the true value of your currency.
