BMJS kidnappers demand N10 million BMJS kidnappers demand N10 million: Students of the school About 15 gunmen had reportedly entered the school on Monday night, and abducted Timilehin Olusa, Tofunmi Popoolaniyan and Deborah Akinayo.
According to the Punch, the kidnappers were originally holed up in the Ikorodu creeks, but have now been moved. A police source told the newspaper: “There is likelihood that the kidnappers have relocated the girls from Epe and Ikorodu creeks. Those were the areas we had earlier traced their movements to but we can no longer feel their presence there. We are now going to look inwards and I believe we are going to succeed in rescuing the pupils safely soon.”
The parents of the abducted children have reportedly been pressing the school into negotiating the N10 million fee, though the school has stated that they have their full cooperation.
‘‘The parents of the abducted pupils were in the school with us on Saturday to pray and assure the school authorities of their support. Everybody knows what is happening in Nigeria today. We shall overcome this,” a school source said to the paper.
