Nigeria’s Super Falcons International footballer, Asisat Oshoala, has today, become Arsenal FC Ladies latest signing as she pens a contract with the London-based football club.
Nigerian professional footballer, Asisat Lamina Oshoala, who was named best player and was the highest goal scorer at the 2014 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup, has today, March 18th, completed her transfer from Liverpool Ladies to Arsenal Ladies in England Women’s Super League.
The 21 year-old Nigeria international striker who spent the 2015 season with Liverpool, scored three goals in 12 league appearances for the Reds, and on the international stage, Asisat has represented Nigeria with distinction at youth and senior level.
In 2015, she was named the BBC’s Women’s Footballer of the Year. Her new manager, Pedro Losa said: “Asisat is a fantastic talent and will be a great addition to our squad. She is quick, with excellent feet and has proven she can score goals so it’s very positive she has decided to join us.”
