Police in Lagos have commenced manhunt for a man who allegedly took another man’s wife to a hotel apparently for amorous affairs. Unfortunately, the woman did not come out alive while the man sneaked out of the hotel room.

The incident was said to have occurred at about 11p.m. last Friday.

It was gathered that the fleeing man whose identity is not yet known took the mother of five, identified as Folorunsho Olowojo, a married woman to a hotel.

The suspect was said to have taken the deceased to a local hotel, located along Old Ota Road, Isale-Odo, Agege, where the woman died mysteriously in a controversial circumstance.

The Lagos State Police Command Public Relations Officer, Frank Mba, who confirmed the incident, said it is suspected that the duo had gone in for some amorous games. He added that the male companion sneaked out of the hotel premises before the hotel attendants knew of the incident.

According to him, detectives from Elere Police Station responded to a distressed call after the hotel attendants discovered the incident, took the pictures of the body that was met almost stark naked and deposited it at Isolo General Hospital for autopsy.

“Manhunt for the male companion is in progress and the case under investigation,” declared Mba.

Efforts by Daily Independent to reach the family of the deceased particularly her husband have proved abortive, but reliable sources revealed that both the husband to the deceased and the children have visited the police station.

It was gathered that they have taken the development in good fate as the circumstances which led to her death particularly when it occurred in a hotel room with another man who is not her legitimate husband amounted to dragging the name of the family in the mud.

It was not clear whether her body has been collected for burial or not as at the time of filling this report.
