Former wife of Saheed Balogun, Fathia Balogun has always been known for her fine performances in Yoruba movies. Her commendable performances in movies like Ohun, Owuro Lawa, Yemoja, Okun ife, Temi ni tie ko, Ito funfun and Asegbe made her a name in the Nollywood industry.
She was born on the 5th of February, 1969 in Ukwara, Water Side Local Government area of Delta State, Nigeria. She had her tertiary education at Kwara State Polytechnic, Kwara State, Nigeria. Her background enables her to be multilingual. She speaks different languages including Urhobo, English and Yoruba. This uncommon skill has landed her several movie roles and endorsement deals.
Four years ago, she was unveiled as Suru Group ambassador. The deal was reportedly worth in the region of 10 million naira. She also managed to bag an endorsement deal with LUX and a chieftaincy title a few months ago.
Earlier on today, the screen goddess had a big announcement for her fans. She revealed that her upcoming project is going to be her first-ever English movie.
The Yoruba movie actress was so excited to share details of this incredible new project. She revealed that Desmond Elliot, Ini Edo, Mercy Johnson, Iyabo Ojo, Dayo Amusa and Kate Henshaw will feature in the movie.
The production is still very much in its embryonic stage. For now, our sources understand that they are still working on the script, and will start shooting very soon.
