It makes a lot of sense. Love might be blind in some opinions but that shouldnt be the cas when lives are at stake.

I think is a welcome idea to me.
If i should be in a position to give orders i will advance all coupls to go for hiv test not only that but all necessary test so to avoid problem after their wedding.
I love the idea.

It makes a lot of sense for a couple to have HIV test before marriage, one less problem to worry about.

Good idea. The earlier we learn to do things the right way, the better for Africa. I can't believe that some people still think that AIDS or HIV was produced to stop Africans from having kids or whatever. We need to stop stereotyping and face the real issue. We are suffering from Generational chaos. We need to order our lives and get out of this disorder that we live in. How do we start? Well know ur HIV status for starters and then we can take from there. Wink

with all ur good comments i still don't think the church should get involved directly on this issue. yes it will be good for couples to know their status but dat will be btw them to agree on how to go abt it.
there's already enough negative stigma on those living with hiv/aids, and to worsen it 4rm wot i heard they even charge fees and insist on arranging it too. that's despicable and unacceptable and should be seriously comdemned. it is wrong for the church to force ppl into doing it, if they r advising couples to think abt it then it will be a different thing but to force them to not only under the test but charge exorbitant fees to arrange it is ridiculous and deprivation of their human right.
they should not go beyond advisary roles and leave couples to make there own decisions.

The Catholic Church in Nigeria says it is not imposing such a policy on its members because it wants HIV testing to be voluntary and personal.

At least its nt goin 2 be implemented in catholic church, well i see this act as a bullish one for intending couples. Please let the couples decide 4 themselves...
