The long hands of the amiable Governor of Lagos State has reached Ifako Ijaiye Housing Estate today as every shop and illegal structures were all brought down. The Government had said residential estates should remain residential and business activities which floats freely like a market must all stop. People who also extended their apartments also got those structures removed. There were wailings, but people could do little or nothing as officials for Lagos State Ministry of Environment went with soldiers. A source said they had been there before and the structures demolished were built back, hence this force.

More photos after the cut.

Providing an alternative can not solve the problems bcos not all of them can afford it compare to their business capital and profit.
Also, not everybody are mobile to go outside to purchase their daily need and they cant buy in excess to store considering the bad power generation.

Good move by the government BUT at the wrong time of recession. Proper analysis should be done with the current situation before some decision should be taking or revised and postpone if already taking.

THINGS ARE VERY BAD IN THE COUNTRY FOR NOW TO RECOVER SUCH TRATEDY
