Everton VS Tottenham Hotspur Saturday (09/09/2017) 15:00 (WAT)
Tottenham return to Premier League action after the international break to face an Everton side who have had the wind taken out of their sails.
The Toffees were easily beaten 2-0 by Chelsea last time out, and now Wayne Rooney faces disciplinary action after being charged with drink driving last week.
Spurs, though, have not had an easy time of it this season either. A routine 2-0 win at Newcastle was followed by just a point gained after two games at Wembley despite dominating displays.
Spurs have not lost against Everton since December 2012, a run stretching back nine matches, but both teams are struggling to find their feet in the opening rounds of the season.
Team news
The goalkeeper was forced to withdraw from England duty while Klaassen's foot concern is not expected to be solved before the weekend game.
Koeman insists that while he is "very disappointed" with Rooney's off-field behaviour, the forward will feature unless the manager feels that the former Manchester United captain "is not in a physical or mental condition to play."
Victor Wanyama will miss out with a knee injury while Kieran Trippier is a doubt, but Serge Aurier is also unlikely to start given his return from international duty.
Mauricio Pochettino may revert back to a three-man defence, meaning Davinson Sanchez to make his first start. Otherwise, Eric Dier could drop back and Harry Winks starts in midfield. Line-ups
Tottenham starting XI: Lloris; Alderweireld; Sanchez, Vertonghen; Trippier, Dier, Dembele, Davies; Eriksen, Dele; Kane
