Spurs recorded a morale-boosting 3-0 Champions League win over Apoel Nicosia on Wednesday night, with Mauricio Pochettino able to rest the likes of Harry Kane, Christian Eriksen and Eric Dier having already qualified for the last 16.
But it is a different story for Spurs domestically, with Pochettino's men winning just one of their last six League games as they sit sixth in the table, and a huge 18 points off leaders Manchester City.
Pochettino has acknowledged that Spurs' title hopes are all but over before Christmas, but the north London club must not fall back into bad habits as Mark Hughes' Potters head to the capital.

Team news
Pochettino faces yet another defensive headache as Davinson Sanchez is banned for three games following a straight red card against Watford.
With Toby Alderweireld out for a long stretch, Spurs could well revert to a back four with Eric Dier partnership Jan Vertonghen.
Kieran Trippier, Kane and Eriksen should be restored to the line-up, while Heung-min Son will also be pushing for a start after another goal in midweek.
Stoke defender Bruno Martins Indi is set to be out for a while with a groin problem while Spurs will have to be wary of their former player Peter Crouch.
How they could line up
Spurs starting XI: Lloris, Trippier, Dier, Vertonghen, Davies, Dembele, Winks, Son, Eriksen, Alli, Kane
Stoke starting XI: Butland, Zouma, Shawcross, Wimmer, Diouf, Allen, Fletcher, Pieters, Shaqiri, Jese, Chuopo-Moting
