VP Yemi Osinbajo will ensure his daughter’s wedding event is held privately.
Following sharp criticism that came after the wedding of Fatima Ganduje (daughter of governor Ganduje of Kano state) and Idris Ajimobi (son of governor Ajimobi of Oyo state), it has appears like the vice president of Nigeria, Prof Yemi Osinbajo will be making the wedding of his daughter to be a private event.
It was over the media few weeks ago that his daughter, Damilola Osinbajo will be getting married to Oluseun Bakare, the son of billionaire business woman, Hajia Bola Shagaya.
The Vice President Yemi Osinbajo also confirmed the news when he took to his Instagram page to confirm that his eldest daughter, Damilola is set to wed her man, Oluseun Bakare. He said, “With joy and praise to the Lord, Dolly and I announce the betrothal of our daughter Oludamilola Osinbajo to Oluseun Bakare.”
Many launched into criticism that the VP who is also a pastor was offering his daughter to a man who is a Muslim all because of the status of the man’s family in the society. However, they were later clarified that the man had converted to Christianity and is a pastor in the Redeemed Christian Church of God.
With the union between the children of Kano state governor and his Oyo counterpart drawing much criticism because of the attendance of movers and shakers of politics in Nigeria, sources claim the VP will ensure his daughter’s wedding event is held privately. Many had criticized the notable politicians who attended the event for being insensitive to the plight of Nigerians. This they did due to the fact that the occasion took place few days after over 105 schoolgirls were kidnapped in Dapchi by the dreaded Boko Haram terrorist group.
