According to reports, trouble started when the followers of a Yoruba masquerade attempted to disrupt the business activities of Hausa grocery traders along Old garage road when their masquerade was moving around.
This was resisted by the Hausas who engaged the masquerade followers in a heated argument that soon degenarated into a fight. Soon after, some properties including cars, motorcycles and other valuables were set on fire.
Confirming the clash, the state police public relations officer, Femi Joseph, said the situation has been brought uder control. He said the police is now in search of those that started the clash...
