BREAKING NEWS!...Soldiers sack police station, vandalise vehicles in Abeokuta

Soldiers from the Army Cantonment, Amala, Abeokuta North Local Government Area of Ogun State, threw the Lafenwa area of the state capital into confusion on Friday while protesting the death of one of their colleagues, who died in an auto accident.

The irate soldiers, after vandalising cars of unsuspecting members of the public and beating up those who unknowingly crossed their path, invaded the Lafenwa Police Station, where they allegedly beat up the police personnel on duty and ransacked the station.

Trouble was said to have started when a soldier in the army unit was said to have died as a result of an accident involving the deceased’s motorcycle and a passenger bus around Lafenwa area.
