According to reports making the round, Police have reportedly attacked leaders and members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), who are presently protesting against the result of the Osun State Governorship election at the headquarters of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Abuja.

Ben Bruce made this known in a tweet:

“I have just been teargassed by the @PoliceNG at @inecnigeria office. Gunshots have been fired. “This was a peaceful protest. How can I be treated like this in a country I have fought for and invested in? “This is madness, I came with words they answered with bullets!”

The PDP wants the INEC to declare PDP candidate, Ademola Adeleke the winner of the Osun election. Senate President, Bukola Saraki; Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara, the National Chairman of the party, Uche Secondus, Governor Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto State; former Niger State Governor and presidential aspirant, Sule Lamido; and Senator Dino Melaye, and others were among the protesters.

yawn, nothing relevant here, just a thief protesting, i rather look at the new generation of leaders, the rest had their chances and they proved they are fools and greedy, they will never change.

Even in the U S, you need to have permit to demonstrate. Nigerian police is the friendliest in the world. They should have put a bullet in Dino's leg when he jumped out of their car , last time. When he was on a tree for eleven hours, they should have sent a snake up there.

Useless idiots. We can now see the dumbs we call lawmakers. Is it after INEC had issued a Certificate to the Winner, that you open your own case instead of going to the Court. Hidden Agenda of despicable criminals.

The tears gas was too little. More and more of it should have been released to them so they could have gone home with swollen red eyes.
