Dangote Becomes World's 64th Richest Person

Aliko Dangote, is now the world’s 64th richest person after gaining $5.8bn in one day and his total net worth rising to $16.6bn.

The Africa’s richest man’s wealth fell from $10.5bn at the end of last year to a low of $9.63bn on January 1, 2019, but it grew to $10.8bn on Monday, February 25.

However the net worth of Dangote increased by 23 per cent from $13.5bn on February 26, 2018, to $16.6bn, as he gained $5.8bn in one day, emerging 64th richest person in the world. While he is the only Nigerian on the list of 500 billionaires and also retained his position as Africa’s richest person, it should also be noted that his wealth rise by 58 per cent so far this year.

Some other Africans on the list include Nicky Oppenheimer of South Africa, who was ranked 216th with a net worth of $7.05bn; Johann Rupert of South Africa (ranked 225th with $6.92bn wealth); Nassef Sawiris of Egypt occupied the 228th position with $6.83bn; Natie Kirsh of South Africa (ranked 263rd with a net worth of $6.10bn) and Naguib Sawiris of Egypt emerged 331st with a fortune of $5.12bn.

Forbes and all their cronies should stop boring us of who is rich or poor. If they interested in what is happens in Nigeria, they should be talking about the murder of democracy by the APC led government, they should be talking of irregularities of the Nigerian elections, they should be talking of thousands of lives lost in Nigeria by APC's political tugs. Nigerians don't need them to chant the success of only one man in a population of over 200,0000,000 people. They should be talking about how Nigeria has become the bottom list of the world's poorest countries.
