Team News
ZIMBABWE

Zimbabwe earned their first point at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations but will feel aggrieved that they did not earn all three in their game against Uganda as they spurned a couple of great chances to seal the win.
Having gone behind in the 12th minute, they responded well and went in level at the break thanks to Khama Billiat converting after good work from Ovidy Karuru in the build-up but failed to find a second with Knowledge Musona wasting his side’s best chance as he hit the bar.
After failing to win either of their first two games in Group A, Zimbabwe need a win over DR Congo to give themselves a chance of progression to the knockout stages and will be hoping to have goalkeeper Edmore Sibanda and striker Nyasha Mushekwi available after they missed the Uganda game because of injuries.

DR CONGO

DR Congo were competitive in their game against Egypt and twice hit the woodwork but ultimately they were not good enough as they lost their second consecutive game in the Africa Cup of Nations.
Having trailed 2-0 at the break, DR Congo were unable to get back into the game and that ended up as the final score to leave without a goal or point from either of their first two contests.
DR Congo are now out of contention to progress automatically and must hope a win here can see them progress to the last 16 as one of the best four teams to finish third in their group and may look to make changes once again after making five for the Egypt game.
THE PREDICTION
Zimbabwe and DR Congo are both struggling to qualify for the last 16 for the Africa Cup of Nations after failing to win either of their opening matches. They now play one another with both desperate to give themselves a chance of progression by winning their final game in Group A. DR Congo were much improved from their opening contest and whilst they fell short, they will face much inferior opposition here. They will need to find a way to score after failing to find the back of the net so far but an early goal will give them a great chance of a win although a draw would not be a surprise either.
