A win for the United States Women's National Team (USWNT) would result in a fourth World Cup trophy, the most in the event's history. A victory also makes Team USA the first to win back-to-back World Cup titles. It will improve the Americans' World Cup record to an impressive 40-4-6. After steamrolling their way through group play, the Americans have played solid defense against Spain, France and most recently, England, to secure three straight 2-1 victories to put them one more win away from consecutive World Cup titles. While goals have been harder to come by in the knockout stage, this is still a potent offense, as Team USA has scored 24 goals in six matches.
Netherlands
If the Netherlands wins it will the country's first Women's World Cup title, coming in just its second appearance. It will be the Dutch team's third international championship overall, along with winning last year's Algarve Cup and the Women's EURO Tournament in 2017. As was mentioned above, Team USA has only lost four World Cup matches in its history, but the Netherlands has already pulled off one upset, beating Sweden 1-0 (extra time) in the semifinals, so don't expect this team to be intimidated.

This will be just the ninth match between these two nations. The U.S. owns a 6-2-0 advantage, including a commanding 26-9 edge when it comes to scoring. This will be the first time these two have faced each other in the Women's World Cup. Team USA has won four in a row against European teams and enter this match with an overall record of 138-20-22 against the continent. The Netherlands has a 6-15-3 record against Concacaf members.
Final Analysis
While this Netherlands team has plenty to be proud of and plenty to look forward to, the experience and talent of Team USA will be too much for them to overcome. The USWNT has been very dominant on both sides of the field and not many teams have been able to compete with them recently. The U.S. is bringing another World Cup trophy home.
