President Muhammadu Buhari has directed the stoppage of the salary of any Federal Government staff that is not captured on the Integrated Payroll and Personnel Information System (IPPIS) platform by the end of October 2019.
According to him, the directive has been issued to stop the salary of any Federal Government in a bid to manage personnel cost.

“We shall also sustain our efforts in managing personnel costs.
“Accordingly, I have directed the stoppage of the salary of any Federal Government staff that is not captured on the Integrated Payroll and Personnel Information System (IPPIS) platform by the end of October 2019.”

he said.Meanwhile, Chris Ngige disclosed that Buhari would have to sack some government workers in order to be able to meet the N30,000 new minimum wage demanded by the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC).
