Personally, I think if me and my guy have consented, our parents have consented and given their blessing, then an exchange of gift (dowry) between both families then am free to go home with my guy. Or isnt that what we call the traditional wedding? Must we call the world before we are recognised as married? Do we even need to be recognised? Must we wed in the church? Does God not recognise our wedding simply becos we didnt wed in the church?........
Oya lets rub minds....what do you think?

A marriage is a marriage and when marital vows are exchanged before witnesses, whether in traditional gathering or a western event, it will remain recognized as long as the rites are followed through accordingly.
