I am not one to court controversy..........but permit me to deep one of my legs in one today.
Last night, my girl friend and I were just talking about marriage and we found ourselves quoting a portion of the Bible almost simultaneously. 'For this reason, a MAN shall leave his father and mother and cleave to his wife and they shall become husband and wife'.
The Bible said the MAN oo, so why is it that the woman turns out to be the one to leave her people and go and be joined with her husband?....Is this a case of turning the Bible upside down or what?.........

God gives us ways and we can choose among dem...the bible created that time when women were 2 handed humans only men has respect and power....so let me say i can use this bible quote and use it in my own life why not??as its not bad for a man to do such why is it bad for a woman? my 4 kids can be my prove and my 11 yrs marriage:-)

The meaning of this portion should not be misconstrued. The purport is, when a man becomes of age to create his own family, since there cant be two heads in one family, he has to leave his father's house to marry and become a family head with the wife as a partner. It is not for him to go and set up his family in his wife's paternal/maternal family. That will be very wrong.
