A different point of view. I am an American married to a Nigerian Yoruba lady. Her over the top self assuredness is only overshadowed by her ignorance and arrogance. It isn't my opinion alone, other Africans grow weary of her selfish, self serving, better than you attitude. In contrast I know many other Nigerian ladies that are not in any way arrogant. A little humility goes a long way.

lol i try not to but some nigerians make it very hard to say something nice. i actually love being nigerian and i love being african in general. i wouldnt want to be anything else. but nigerians male or female need to be humble because most of them think they are so perfect and so smart and that will TURN OFF most non-nigerians. as a nigerian woman i can honestly say that nigerian women are the hardest to befriend because they are so dramatic and uptight. im friends with alot of nigerian men and and other african women.

Just to let all of you know, I think the Poster is partially RIGHT. Most Nigerian women are arrogant. You can curse me out all you want BUT that's your own wahala. Though not all of them are like that. Even the ones that call themselves saints... those ones are the worst, because she is going to roll her eyes at a guy that says, 'Hello beautiful' thinking dude is trying to talk to her. Funny thing about Nigerian girls is that the ugly ones are the most uptight, not sure why that is But it is sad. A Nigerian girl in the US will cook for an Akata OR white man first before she could cater to a Nigerian dude. An Akata could slap or grab a Nigerian girl on her booty and she would love it, BUT a Nigerian dude will get loads of insults or even segxwal harassment lawsuit if he tries the same. I am not saying this just for saying it. I am saying this because I have seen alot happening in this country. This past weekend me and my childhood buddy went for a wedding in Dallas Texas. We went to this club this past sunday night where a lot of Nigerians are. Man if I tell you wetin my eyes see. I just dey think to myself. "Are these girls really Nigerians?" The thing wey dem dey do with these akata bois in the club, my mouth no fit talk am on here. Soooo loose. Very loose girls. My friend wanted to talk to one of them and he got the boot.
