HIV-Laced Condoms - Victims Sue FG

Some Nigerians living in Rivers State sued the Federal Government to the federal high court in Port Harcourt claiming that they were infected with HIV because they used some of the Condoms imported by the Federal Govt into the country. According to them, these Condoms failed to protect them from been infected with HIV and so they demanded that the Government should compensate them with about $50 Billion dollars

They also asked begged on the court to stop all federal health agencies and others from further importation, distribution, advertising and the use of condoms for the purported prevention of HIV/AIDS in Nigeria.
The plaintiffs include Mr. Sunday Emmanuel, Mr. Dozie Iwuji, Miss Emmanuel Ugwueze, Miss Nkem Obi, Mr. Ikechukwu Ukwu and Rosemary Ndifon, Dr. Lawson Alozie Akpulonu, Mr. M.G.Bendi and HIV/AIDS Reseach, information and Treatment Foundation, Miss Ekaette Sunday, Miss Chinwe Uchendu, Miss Chidinma Kingsley, Mr. Iheanyichi Anosike.

The defendants are: Federal Ministry of Health, National Agency for the Control of AIDS, National Agency for Food, Drug Administration and Control, Attorney General and Minister of Justice of the Federation. Others include former director-general of NAFDAC Prof. Dora Akunyili, former Health Minister Babatunde Oshotimehin, Society for Family Health, Family Health international, You Need US Corporation and Contraceptive Research and Development, USA.

They are all crazy.
There are better condoms like Evans, Rough Riders, Pleasure and a host of others.
Let them follow it up...

in most cases,, when a condom fails to do what it is intended to do,, it is because the USER does not USE the condom properly.  If a condom is properly used, the chances of failure is very small.  Things like touching genitals with your hands and then touching your own genitals can spread the virus... there are several segxwal practices that are engaged in before the ACTUAL condom is used that can spread the virus.  The fault is usually 99% that of the USER.
