Atiku Abubakar, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, presidential candidate, has disclosed why he visited Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State after the party’s primary election.

On Monday, Atiku visited Wike in his Abuja residence for a crucial fence-mending meeting.

However, the former Vice President said his visit to Wike was to ensure that every stakeholder was brought on board to boost the party’s chances of winning the 2023 presidential election.

He wrote: “In continuation of my commitment to bring everyone on board in ensuring that the PDP stands as one united party, earlier today, I visited His Excellency Gov Nyseom (sic) Wike at his Abuja residence. This is a continuous process.”

Atiku had defeated Wike and other PDP presidential aspirants during the party’s primary election on Saturday.

The Waziri of Adamawa gathered votes of 371 delegates while Wike polled 237 votes after the Governor of Sokoto State, Aminu Tambuwal, stepped down for him.

Medicine after death. If you like visit his grandmother you will suffer heavy defeat. As you ganged up against our candidates so shall we in the middle belt and South gang up against you. Period.

As PDP picked an aggrieved Atiku who made their party lose power over a member who have never decamped since joining the party, PDP is now dead and buried. The southern governors demanded that the presidency should be zoned to the South, now the governors should show their unity by leaving PDP for Atiku. It's the turn of southern Nigeria to produce the next president in 2023.

Atiku can never be president in Nigeria, period. Nigerians are wiser now, all the money spent in clinching this ticket cannot be paid for by the electorates. obi is our next president. let's try new hands . I believe Peter Obi will deliver Nigeria from the hands of PDP & APC the two monster parties that have ruined this great country Nigeria since 1999. God save Nigeria.those who have not got their PVC's should go and get theirs now, because that is the tool to vote out bad government . not just complaining. God is not coming down from heaven to deliver us from our oppressors,we also have a role to play.

You have said it all @ekogiaweplus. Let everyone go and get their voting cards! How I wish Nigerians can see through their poverty and pains and vote wisely this time! APC and PDP should be totally discarded by the public!
