Siasia to watch Mikel

Nigeria coach Samson Siasia will begin his tenure with a trip to Stamford Bridge this weekend to watch the big Premier League matchup between Chelsea and Manchester United.

Nigeria's John Mikel Obi is expected to feature for the champions in what will be a pivotal game for their title ambitions and Siasia will get a firsthand look at the young midfielder.

"I am going to watch Chelsea and Manchester United this weekend. Will speak to the boys in UK, too," Siasia posted on his Twitter account.

Siasia also expects to meet with Chelsea manager Carlo Ancelotti as well as assistant coach Michael Emenalo, who is Nigerian.

KickOffNigeria.com understands that Siasia will also chat to former Super Eagles captain Nwankwo Kanu while he is in England.

The trip was also confirmed in an NFF statement released on Wednesday morning.

"Siasia will depart for Europe at the end of the week to meet with a number of Nigeria international players plying their trade abroad," the NFF said.

A good start indeed. I pray that stamford bridge will not colapse when Siasia is still there.
