The Federal Government says it is unhappy with the several complains from Nigerians
over ill-treatment from foreign airlines within and outside the country. So far the Federal
Government said it had received over 46,998 complains through the Consumer Protection
Unit of the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority, NCAA from aggrieved passengers in the last one year.
At a meeting with foreign airline representatives in Lagos, Minister of Aviation, Mrs Fidelia Njeze
said the Federal Government would no longer tolerate this, adding that they might be forced
to sanction any foreign airline that refuses to give proper treatment to its citizens
Later, journalists were excused in a very rude manner by the Minister
to avoid them getting details of the meeting with the foreign airline representatives
who had vowed to bare their minds on very sensitive issues
