UK-based Nigerian Woman Shades Nigerian Govt After Obtaining Her Daughter’s British Passport

A UK-based Nigerian woman has taken to social media to drag the Nigerian government after obtaining her daughter’s British passport without stress.

The TikTok user who compared her experience in Nigeria and in the UK, revealed that she filled the form for her daughter’s passport online and only stepped out of the house when she wanted to send her old passport to the immigration office

She also revealed that the new passport she applied for was delivered to her house in the UK. The lady further urged the Nigerian government to emulate good practices abroad and make life easier for its citizens.

I do not blame Nigerian government for this malady.
I blame people at the helm of affairs of Nigeria Immigration.
Every system in Nigeria that involves dealing with the public is automatically converted as means to extort money from innocent citizens.
Nigerian Passport office would never encourage or embrace postal services. Simply because they'll like you to come in person,  so they could extort money from you. Postal service makes you invisible and alienate you from giving them money. Hence reason the Immigration officers would never accept postal system of passport application.
It's either they'll tell you to bribe them so they could fast track it for you.
Or they'll ask you money for any business you want to transact in their office. Including photocopy.
If you ever visited any Nigerian Passport office in diaspora. You'll regret being a citizen of Nigeria.
They'll frustrate you to the point of you agreeing to part with money. A friend of mine from a foreign country (I'll not diclose the country for fear of intimidation) submitted his passport for renewal because he was planning to travel to Nigeria.  After several fruitless visits to their office. He was approached by an officer who asked him to meet him in the evening at a Nigerian restaurant. Upon arriving at the said restaurant. He requested for a lot of money from my friend in order for his passport to be renewed. After my friend has paid the required passport fee.
The new government need to reorganise and clean up this Passport offices shenanigan.
