Police operatives in Ogun have arrested suspected members of eiye confraternity identified as Dakwo Micheal Jackson, Joel Obieva, and Oluwaseun Bamideke in Sango Ota area of the state.
Spokesperson for the command SP Omolola Odutola in a statement said the suspects were arrested following a report at the Divisional Command at Sango Ota that some cultists were planning some illegal activities in the area.
He said this led to their arrest by an anti-robbery team led by CSP Saleh Dahiru at a school in Joju area of the community.
According to him, the suspects confessed they were part of a larger gang of Eiye confraternity, comprising five members, with their leader still at large. Their intention was to meet at the school before carrying out their planned operation.
He added that police are currently making efforts to track down the remaining suspects who managed to escape arrest.
Meanwhile, the command has assured that it will charge the suspects in court after the investigation which will be conducted by the State Criminal Investigation Department is completed.
