Nigeria Striker, Awoniyi Wins EPL Player Of The Month, Goal Of The Month

Nottingham Forest striker, Taiwo Awoniyi has picked up the Player of the Month and Goal of the Month Awards at the Premier League club for August.

The Super Eagles man has enjoyed an impressive start to the 2023/2024 campaign, continuing his fine form from last season.

Awoniyi did not start Nottingham Forest’s season opener against Arsenal because of fitness issues.

However, he got off the bench to score the consolation goal for them in the 2-1 loss.

By scoring in seven straight league matches for Nottingham Forest, he equalled the African Premier League record for goals in consecutive matches.

It placed the 26-year-old in exalted company alongside Mohamed Salah and Emmanuel Adebayor.
