A lady has taken to social media to lament after the sum of 1.7 million Naira was debited from her bank account after using an ATM reportedly owned by Zenith bank. In the video which was posted online, the woman explained how she and her friend, Emmanuel, had come to the Zenith bank branch in Ikeja the previous night with his GTB debit card which was swallowed up by the ATM. They had left the bank without withdrawing and even stood on the queue for over thirty minutes with no success in getting back the card.

Soon enough, they started receiving debit alerts totalling 1.7 million Naira from GT Bank. She claims that even up until the time she made the video, the card was still in the ATM. Recall that earlier this year, another user of Zenith Bank has also been a victim of wrongful debit. The woman has come out to demand an explanation from either Zenith Bank or GTB.
