Fear has gripped commissioners in Delta State as the state Governor, who had not hidden his feelings that some of the commissioners were disloyal, is about to dissolve his cabinet with a view to setting up a new one.
Competent sources hinted our reporter that the Governor had already drawn up the list of those that would be sent packing and would not make the new list.
The Governor set the tone last week Monday, when he sacked all his Senior Special Assistants, Special Assistants, Political Assistants as well as political aides.
Already there are concerns that some of the commissioners, which the former acting Governor appointed during the two months stay he occupied the Government House seat may not return following a cold war between the Governor and the former acting Governor.
Already, the former acting Governor, Prince Sam Obi might be probed as a three-man panel is purported to have been raised to investigate how he managed the finances of the state.
Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan had during a thanksgiving service at First Baptist Church in Warri, held in respect of his victory in the January 6 gubernatorial re-run election, said he had learnt some lessons between the time his election was annulled on November 9, last year and time he returned to office and vowed to checkmate those whose activities constituted a clog in the wheel of progress of the state.
Political pundits also believe that there might be exodus from the ruling Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, if loyalists to a political big wig, who was involved in the controversial Delta North PDP senatorial primaries was not favoured in the reconstitution of the new executive
