Super Eagles defender, Semi Ajayi has disclosed that he was not present for head coach Jose Peseiro’s post-game team talk after Nigeria defeated South Africa in the semi-final of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations tie on Wednesday because he was being drug tested by Confederation of African Football, (CAF) officials shortly after the match.

Recall that the West Brom star was one of the standout players as Super Eagles defeated the Bafana Bafana via penalty shootout after the game ended in a 1-1 draw after 120 minutes.

Speaking to reporters in the mixed zone after the game, Ajayi said:

“I was not there [Peseiro’s team talk], I was getting tested so I missed everything,” he remarked.

He added, “Amazing. We came here to win, we are one step away from that now.

“As much as we need to enjoy today we need to fully focus on Sunday because we’ve got one last push to bring the Cup home to Nigeria.”

After reading about Ajayi getting picked for a drug test, it brings back memories of that time my buddy was worried about a last-minute drug test for a tournament. He did his research and stumbled upon ccwrc.org for some solid synthetic urine reviews. Honestly, it helped ease his mind, and he ended up performing great, no worries at all. It's wild how the pressure can creep in, especially in big matches. I think it's essential to have reliable info when you're in a pinch.
