Nollywood actress, Shan George is the latest celebrity to react to the new laws from Amnesty International protecting the President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
A few days back, the Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila called for social media regulation describing it as a menace.
Amnesty International, concurring with him, said critics of the President risk a three-year jail term for condemning the president. He went on to explain further the implications of social media regulations.
Weighing into it, Shan George, via Isaac Fayose’s comment section stated that the government needs to renovate and expand the prisons. According to her, a little of Nigerians would go to prison for criticizing the government.
“They should begin to renovate and expand d prisons o. We go all enter”.
Earlier on, Isaac Fayose, the brother of former Ekiti Governor, Ayo Fayose, stated that he isn’t afraid of Femi Gbajabiamila nor does he fear 3 years jail term. He told him to resign if he can’t fix Nigeria.
Many took to his comment section to praise him.
Similarly, Mr Macaroni had carpeted Femi Gbajabiamila, sharing screenshots of old tweets from Gbajabiamila which dated back to 2014, where he slammed previous governments, calling them Vagabond and Barbarians. He noted how social media wasn’t a menace to him then, but now that he is Chief of Staff, he realizes that social media is a menace.
Calling him hypocritical, he stated that it has become clear that he and his government, which he called desperate see Nigerians as imbeciles.
